You could always hold off and try to get the mask of the father, which ups your carry weight more. Taking off the ring of Fap breaks it. You can get another one in subsequent NG+s but it's so good I would just stick with it, at least until you have a second one and can play around with it. If you are keeping your SL at 70 then the HP boost alone is pretty worth it.Depending on how far from 25% you are, maybe just change one piece of your armor. The main body piece is really where the most defense comes from, so you could swap out one of the other pieces for something super light. As a Dex build you should really be light rolling, so I wouldn't switch to a heavier armor. However, Dex builds also have the hardest job since they need to stay light but also in close quarters, so your best move is really to have different sets leveled up for different places. That way when you go to the duke's archives you can switch to your most magic resistance set, fire resistant for Demon Ruins, etc.

40 endurance is the stamina cap but not the equip burden cap, which increases at the same rate of 1 pound (or whatever units they are) per level til 99. It's an advisable cap generally because on your way to SL125 (the meta cap) you can only choose so many things and it makes more sense to spend those points on things that will benefit you in more ways. But it's ultimately on a build to build basis, and not a hard and fast rule.If you really like the elite knight set, you don't want to stop at 40 and settle for midrolling if you're so close to lightrolling. It's always about what equipment you want to use and how to best implement that equipment. In this case as a dex build, lightrolling is more important, so the extra endurance is worth it.That being said, you're at the point where you should really figure out what you want your final stats and equipment to be. Maybe extra endurance makes the cut, maybe not. Or maybe that you haven't found the weapon you'll want to keep using through multiple NG+s, and maybe that weapon is lighter, meaning you can use the EK set and keep endurance at 40.

Or maybe you've been keeping a bow equipped that you don't really use and won't miss. Or it so happens you really like the look of the Mask of the Father.

Or a heavier set of armor, and you need 50 endurance. Depending on how close you are you can switch out for pieces of the Knight set, specially the gloves and pants. Those have the same poise as the Elite Knight set and a little less physical defense. You can also use a lighter weapon and shield combo. The Tower shield is nice, good stability and nice looking at 3 pounds with 100% physical blocked. At 2 pounds you have the heater shield which is 100% physical but looks awful. At 1.5 pounds you have the wooden shield which looks cool but only blocks 93% physical. 5 pound you have a parrying dagger have fun with that! For weapons, I love Quelag's fury sword at 3.5 pounds or the Balder Side Sword at 3 pounds.

Then there is Ricard's Rapier at 2.5 and Velka's Rapier at 2. I personally would go Balder Sword and Balder Shield for 7 pounds and then make the armor work around it. What's your other ring? Depending on what you're trying to get out of your guy at such a specific level determines what you should wear. Ring of Favor and protection is giving you extra health, stamina, and equip load.

Thats all nice but if you're characrter isn't actually lacking in stamina or health, then opting out for havel's ring is much better. If you're almost fast rolling in full EK with just FAP then equiping havel's ring might be better.

It'll let you armor up a bit more that what you have at the moment. If you really just want to stick with elite knight set and you're using another ring slot for another important ring then I suggest simply leveling endurance just a bit more. EK set at +10 offers almost the same Armor stats as Havel's armor (minus the poise).

Its definitely worth a lot more committing to elite knight as it is and just leveling endurance at this point.
